Courtaulds UK, Go Live with Credit Management

September 2008

With headquarters in Nottingham, Courtaulds UK Limited is an international manufacturer, supplying branded, and private label clothing to global retailers.

Courtaulds have been using Cashbook within the finance function as a controlled method of allocating AR cash to open invoices on the ERP. The Credit & Collections team had good experiences with Cashbook’s Cash Application solution but wanted a tool to more proactively chase & report their AR balances. With over 2500 live AR accounts it was important to Courtaulds that Credit Collections are monitored rigorously.

Cforia & Cashbook turned up on a Monday and by Friday the solution was live (including a dry run in Courtaulds test environment), with notes copied across, customized screens, functionality to generate reports and a tailored solution delivered to the client.

Phil Clarke, Courtaulds UK Credit Manager commented “Our Aged Debt Reports are instantaneous and far more helpful than the standard reports off our base system. We have got a far better picture and control of our debt. At present we are using only a small portion of the functionality Cforia offers, but this has already added considerable value. The Cforia team were incredibly helpful and have continued to be extremely responsive since the project go-live date. I would have no hesitation in recommending them and their software to other companies on BPCS.”

“We found base BPCS difficult to use from a credit management point of view, often downloading into 3rd party products. BPCS is limited for “on screen” credit control, with no overall debtor view. With Cforia’s solution we can breakdown our view of a customer account by invoices, deductions, credit notes and payments on accounts. With 2500+ customers of varying size and complexity we needed something more than base BPCS.”
