JDE UK Conference

Cashbook Ltd attended the recent UK Oracle User Group’s JD Edwards Conference at Ascot Racecourse on 4th & 5th November 2008. The JDE community gathered from around Europe to hear internationally respected JD Edwards’s presenters, customers and partners, share knowledge and information about the roadmap for the JD product. Some of the issues not covered in base JDE (all versions) were Cash Application & Bank Reconciliation. Of considerable interest to JDE users was Cashbook’s Bank Reconciliation Module and Cashbook’s partner solution product Cforia Credit & Collections Management software. Chris Caparon (Founder of Cforia) was in attendance demonstrating to JDE customers the ability to manage the credit and collection process more effectively.

It was business all day and then as the sun set the Casino night begun enabling presenters and customers to meet on a more informal basis. What became obvious was that running a cash management company did not qualify you to become a good blackjack player! The Cashbook and Cforia team enjoyed the visit and will be back for sure next year.

Overall, Cashbook’s CEO, Greg Coulter was very pleased with the positive reception that JDE customers gave the Cashbook product and commented ‘The JDE market is incredibly strategic for us. We’ve been to Quest’s conference in Colorado, Oracle Openworld in San Francisco and now this JDE event in the UK. Our solutions are not a perfect fit for all JDE clients but where there are high invoice volumes and lots of cash transactions, potentially we offer a lot of time and cost savings.”
