Manual Accounting Processes Still Widespread In The U.S

May 2006

Managing Director, Greg Coulter, and Business Development Manager Richard Birchall attended SSA’s User Group Conference in Dallas from April 23-26th. The conference included attendees with ERP systems such as BPCS, PRMS, BaaN, Infinium, KBM, and Masterpiece. It is obvious to see that SSA Global have been successful in acquiring ERP systems.

SAI New Technologies demonstrated for the first time SAI’s prototype Java based solutions for all ERP systems.

Greg Coulter, Managing Director of SAI said “Changing SAI from a BPCS legacy business to a Java house where the underlying ERP structure does not matter has been a huge challenge. In 2006 we anticipate working with a number of early adopters to deliver an automated accounts receivable solution and electronic payments gateway that will enable any ERP to integrate with our worldwide banking database of bank lockbox files, payment files and bank statement files”

Richard Birchall, Business Development Manager of SAI commented “We were staggered at the SSA user conference about the manual processes being used for cash application. At SAI we take Lockbox files from banks or customers and automatically match these files with companies open accounts receivable invoices. It’s a simple but incredibly powerful solution. We are now working on making this a true Shared Service Centre solution by taking a single lockbox file for multiple companies and splitting the cash application across multiple financial environments. The ROI on this solution is enormous.”

With 12 new customers in North America over the last 18 months SAI New Technologies now have 16 supported customers and many more in the pipeline. SAI have executed their North American strategy by leveraging successful European business relationships and partnering with reputable North American software consulting companies.

Companies such as JGI based in New Jersey, (now known as IBS) and Nexgen based in Chicago have introduced Cashbook to a range of customers. Richard Birchall commented “We have partnerships that work well for everyone. People like George Moroses at IBS, Alwyn Francis and Jax Jenkinson at Nexgen have great experience and contacts in their regions. Working with these people sends a positive message to new clients that SAI are a company you should have confidence in. Our partners benefit from maintaining successful business relations with their client base.” Win-win business partnerships continue to underpin SAI’s plans for growth in 2006 and beyond in North America and all regions.
