China International Software Expo – Review

In September, Cashbook attended the 13th China International Software Expo (CIS Expo) in Nanjing, China. This was Cashbooks first time attending the four day event, it was hugely exciting going to Asia for a Software conference which attracts over 100,000 people annually. In China, Nanjing is known as the “Software City” and would share certain similarities with “Silicon Valley” in the United States. Nanjing is at the forefront of technology in China, they are constantly pushing the boundaries of what can be achieved with technology.
At the CIS Expo there were a lot of various companies, industries and technologies represented across the four large exhibition halls. Outside of the large technology companies and software solutions on display, there were a lot of Virtual Reality gaming stations; Robots that can complete everyday tasks (see picture below); advanced 3D printers; high level drones, and various ‘hackathons’ taking place. There was a real blend of awe-inspiring technology on display at the Expo, with a great atmosphere around the conference site.

During the four day event, Michael Twomey, Cashbook Marketing Manager, was interviewed by Chinese TV and radio (see picture at the top). Michael discussed the benefits of Cash Application automation software for companies, and how Cashbook are seeking to add to their customer base in China. This interview was great exposure for Cashbook in China and at the Expo itself, it certainly helped with the level of interest in Cashbook around our booth for the remainder of the event.

Overall the CIS Expo event was a great success for Cashbook, we met a lot of great people and there was a huge interest in the products Cashbook offer, specifically the Cash Application, Electronic Payments, and Bank Reconciliation automation solutions. China was also a great host, very welcoming people and such a beautiful country with amazing food! Cashbook are looking forward to doing more business in China, and developing our relationships and network even further in the future.
