Another Huge September for Cashbook

September was a peak travel month for Cashbook (as is the case every year). Cashbook attends two big conferences in the US – the TIMS User’s Group Conference in Billings, MT, and the inPOWER Conference in Pewaukee, WI. For the last few years, there was a week’s gap between the two events. This year, they happened to fall in consecutive weeks – which suited our CEO, Greg Coulter, who wanted to attend both events.

The first event was in Billings, Montana. Cashbook were Platinum Sponsors of the TIMS User’s Group Conference and were well represented by the TIMS team. Accompanying Greg to Montana were Haroon Panezai (Partners Director), Tony Cantillon (TIMS Services Director) and Conor O’Shea (Consultant).

We were incredibly grateful to have some of our esteemed customers to present their Cashbook experience at our speaking slot at the event. We had Janna Zachary from Ilmo Products Co., Doug Jobe from ARC3 Gases and Jesse Gilbert from Welder’s Supply and Gases. Janna was first to speak. She has been with ILMO Products for 15 years and opened her presentation with the following fact:

I’ve been with ILMO Products for 15 years as of this past Sunday. And this is the first time we’ve been able to 100% balance our general ledger to our bank account, every single transaction, because of Cashbook.

After Janna, we heard from Doug Jobe, CFO of ARC3 Gases. He said the following as part of his presentation:

We do roughly 90,000 invoices a month. We have 4,600 calls into our support areas. We’re doing 12,000 checks, 3,400 ACH payments per month, and 2,400 end-of-month autopays. We have a lot of stuff flowing through, right? It is a ton of transactions, and in my opinion, we would not be able to do this without Cashbook – not without having five people, which is really what we had before. Now we pretty much do it with two and a half. Maybe you could say two, but two and a half for sure.

Finally, we heard from Jesse Gilbert, Finance Manager at Welder’s Supply & Gases. He told it like it is –

Most of everything is auto-reconciled, and that’s really where a lot of the time savings are. You just go in, click the button, it does the work, and you’re done.

Our team at Billings reported steady traffic at our stand at the DoubleTree Hotel and came away with positive feedback and lots of leads to follow up on. Here is a photo of our team at the stand:

We had a competition draw at our stand – the winners this year were Jacob Lents from Volunteer Welding Supply, and Bobbi-Jo Guffei (Irwin) from Innovair Group. Congratulations to both of you!

After the TIMS User’s Group Conference, the team scattered. Greg, Conor and Haroon travelled onwards to meet up with some Cashbook customers at their places of work. Meanwhile, Tony started a well-earned vacation.

The week after that conference, there was another – the inPOWER Conference in Pewaukee, WI. Cashbook were Gold sponsors this year. Our team at this event were Greg Coulter (CEO), David Rushe (Business Development Director), Brian Murphy (Business Analyst), Denise Mills (Implementation Consultant) and Craig Bolton (Account Executive). They also had a very busy 3 days. Cashbook had one speaking slot, which drew a strong crowd, and we sponsored one of the early morning coffee slots for the early risers. We had a prize draw here too – the winner was Isaac Bachmann from Landoll Company LLC.

Both conferences were interspersed by more prospect and customer visits. Before the TIMS conference, Greg visited customers and prospects on a monster road trip from Newark to Nashville, Kansas City, Indianapolis and finally Cleveland.

After the TIMS conference, Haroon visited Encore Gas & Supply in Long Beach, CA, Cameron Welding Supply in Orange County, CA, Central Welding Supply in Marysville, WA and OSC in St. Pauls, MN!

Phew!

No rest for the wicked, though. The next conference is the Community Summit in Nashville, TN from October 11^th to October 15^th. Cashbook are co-sponsors of this event, which is primarily focused on Microsoft Products. Cashbook are there under the D365 umbrella, one of the ERPs that is supported by our platform.

After that, a team will be going to the M3UA Benelux Conference in Eindhoven in The Netherlands. The event is in the Van der Valk Hotel, Aalsterweg and will take place from November 3^rd – 4^th.
